I'm a lot like your dad - get flustered when someone's talking me

through a tech glitch. It's even more humiliating when I remember how I used to be the go-to gal back in the 90s, when others in the office had problems.  Oh, well.

Hmmm.

Who got to volunteer to talk their way through the customers lined up?

It is no fun being talked through a computer problem. I've had times when the person's English was hard to understand and I wanted to just hang up but I was too far into the resolution of the problem. Good thing you got Dad through it.

I hate to be talked through a computer problem for it makes me very nervous and up-tight and I begin acting like you describe your Dad.

It is always a job to talk relatives through things, they just do not bother to concentrate.

I know the feeling.
