i must say i found this an excellent post, right on spot.  old age for the mind is wonderful, when we stop worrying about what others think, when we finally learn how to listen, how to be mindful, say what we mean and mean what we say, when we finally know what is truly important. old age for the body takes a lot of time for maintainance, but we can still do all the really important things like love, smile, wink, laugh, talk, listen, hug etc.

I love this and the invisible thing is all too true. However, I am a naughty old lady these days and act a little bit the dotty old lady. Always gets someone at a check out counting out the small change collecting in my money purse ...for the old dear and yes we are best friends for a few moments as I praise something about him/her and we smile as I totter off.

Those three parts make a lot of sense to me. Kids and some elderly people say the darnedest things.

Great post. I think a certain relaxation of society's rules comes with age, and an appreciation for the "real" things in life that are important.

Yes it is like kids really, we can smile or ignore and no one cares. Every so often there is  little flash of togetherness, could be. Although it dissipates as one wanders into a might have been world.
