Obits
When we regularly received the paper, I'd also look at the obits. For me it was part historical. Even if the person didn't have any involvement in the community, per se, I was interested in what information was included about them. I enjoy learning, even when it's about a person I'll never be able to meet.

I've always been a reader of the Kansas City Star (and the Kansas City Times until it went by the wayside). When I was in grade school, we were encouraged to bring current events to share in front of the class.

Internet.....My older brother gets the paper....it amazes me how he always looks at the obituaries.....He tells me he want to see if he's still alive.....go figure

We get loads of local free papers with adverts. The Telegraph newspaper daily. I prefer news on the radio usually.
