Re: No Jeans
The ladies, my grandma, mom, her friends and my aunties wore what was known as a housedress, usually a simple cotton print dress, and they wore aprons over them while cooking or washing dishes. When pants became fashionable in the 60s my grandmother was thrilled to wear them because they were warm and she was always cold. My mom and everyone stopped wearing their housedresses then and dressed the way people do now. The men in my family wore old slacks to do gardening, which became their yardwork clothes. In summer my dad always wore bermuda shorts.

No Jeans
Did the ladies wear pants or only dresses/skirts? What type of trousers did the gentlemen wear?

Closet Full of Everything
My husband & I currently live in a studio & only have a couple of dressers. No closet. We probably should have less, since we don't have the room, but, I like having a few options. Even when we had a closet, I didn't have dresses or skirts. In the past 15 years, I've only worn a dress to my nephew's wedding & a skirt at my cousin's memorial. I used to wear them more when I was younger. I reached the point I didn't feel they really fit with me.

No one in my dad's immediate family ever worse jeans, not him, his brother, sister, parents, uncle... Me, I do wear them. I love it if I find a pair that fits well, which is hard to do. Lol.
A happy and healthy New Year to you.

I do wear jeans but I only have one pair. I prefer casual looking sports pants....much more comfortable. Then I have scrubs for work.....so I don't need much. My daughter on the other hand has a closet full of eveything!
