Re:

I like the caterpillars, too, GypsyButterfly. I really do like all critters, except the ones I can't see crawling on me, and the ones that creep around my toothbrush or get into the kitchen at night...

Re:

I know, right, BC? It seems like there are a lot less of all critters these days -- except roaches and mosquitoes...

I do not like crawling sensations I can't see, Taps. Drives me, ahem, buggy...

I saw more caterpillars growing up, because my grandma & I lived on an acre. My husband & I haven't been in a place with a yard. Except, when we had our mobile home & even then, it wasn't much. Most of the trees & plants belonged to the park owner. I especially like what caterpillars become :)

You remind me of that scene with Tim Robins and Martin Lawrence in Nothin to Lose with his shoes on the side of the road....good one!

the very thought of a bug on me is scarier than the actual bug.  LOL

where have all the caterpillars gone.... there seemed to be millions when I was a kid.  Can't recall when I last saw one.

I can fully understand your dancing in place and yelling.  I was out in the yard once dressed in a low-neck peasant blouse and a huge grasshopper jumped in.  I hadn't seen it coming and I didn't know what it was and it was trying to hop back out and its feet were all scratchy.  I almost had a heart attack before I could pull the blouse out of my skirt and shake it out.

In Australia it is always a great game in a pub where you stand at the bar and chatter, joke, make fun of, or fight with ya' mates; to bet on two flies crawling from point A to point B wherever that might be.
