With regard to the weather, better late than never, I feel.

Kabu

Of course I read The Wind in the Willows - it's a masterpiece once read by all children, I think. But I also suspect it's pretty well forgotten...And, like you, we're having gorgeous summer weather...

Kabu

I don't consciously recall reading it, but it seems that I have done so. We had a taste of late fall here this morning but it turned into late summer this afternoon. The weather is a roller-coaster here also. It'd be fun to sit down to coffee with you, Kabu.

I think I read Wind in the Willows, but it's been forever ago.

I love those animal stories where the creatures take on human personalities. They're very powerful - and even the advertising world still relies on our nursery rhymes, the 3 little pigs, the big bad wolf, etc...

I's been a long time, but it was great then and worth reading again.
Today I sat out in the park next to where I live.  When I moved here it was all woods there.  I didn't think I would like the change, but it is very pretty.

Delightful book,  though I did not think you were into politics Kabu. I would think it has been quite disillusioning for you this year in the garden. Although it was tough here hot and no rain early and now quite chilly although I am hoping for a warm October to jolly things along. I suppose it is too cold to plant bulbs to overwinter, I suppose you could do some in pots and have them in  just inside not warm of course. I am picking some late strawberries the birds do not appear to want them along now, although I think a fair number emigrate and will soon be coming back again. Hope you feel a bit better.
