Summer is still here.

Though it is cooling off at night, which makes for perfect fishing weather early in the mornings. Still 90-95 by 2-3 o'clock. I am sure that Wiley and you will come to the same conclusion on his driving. If it becomes a danger to one's self or others, you do what you must. We had to take my Mom's car from her at about 80, and she was PISSED. Fortunately, my sister and neices were able to make time take her anywhere she wanted to go. I actually bought the car at Bluebook price, did some minor repairs and resold it quickly. I was afraid it would be a constant point of aggravation for her to see it sitting out there.

It has been an unusal summer for us down in Maryland. We have had a mix of summer, fall and spring. Talk about a wide range.

You're right - it's time to shake out the warmer clothes and fold away

the light summer things. Even here we've had unusually cool nights and mild days. I hate to feel chilled - but thanks to the passing years and low thyroid, it seems I get chilly even at 80 degrees in the late afterooon. Easy cure: I go sit in the car which the sun has turned into an "oven" for a couple minutes... One benefit of the situation:  I keep the air conditioning set for a higher temp., and it uses a lot less electricity. Hugs to you and Wiley.

I can't imagine how hard it is for him to possibly face that he shouldn't be driving.... but we all must at some point learn to live with our own limitations.

I wonder sometimes how it is for you to want to use blogit as an outlet, but knowing he will read it.  I had a moment where I stopped writing about my potential love life because I didn't want to hurt someone's feelings...

Obviously you will have to stick with Wiley. I would try and limit night driving or get a taxi. Yes and try and limit your responsibilities, as you suggested, you cannot be everything to all men. Mizzling with rain here but we need it, morning 8:25.

All is well that ends well. It'll be the natural course for you with the onset of winter. Sir Wiley, I admire his resilience.

Blogit was down for making comments until right now or I would have commented sooner. I can tell how upsetting and unsettling it was to have Wiley lost coming back. Sometimes we want to do things to help others and it grates on our conscience when we can't, but our bodies just can't go along with the plan. I'm glad Wiley made it back and I hope you are feeling better also, dear S. Sister. Have a beautiful day tomorrow. And yes, it does seem like summer really didn't stay long.
