Always put the back of your hand on the soil, ours feels quite warm but we have had no rain well just a splash. I am planting out the hardy stuff, but as you say the end of May is quite soon enough for the half hardy ones. That is a real toughy the blue one the trouble is flowers like that take such a lot to make a bunch. I wonder you don't stick a few dahlias in, of course they really would need digging up at the end of the sunshine.

What a vibrant photo you have shared with us...A lot of people planted early in April because it was so warm. It has been a battle for the gardeners this month with some 40 degree weather.

Kabu

Oh, that looks heavenly, dear Kabu! Such glorious florals; all happy-looking. I would like to do that here also. Maybe sun will come out today, or not. Just love your garden, dear, and it's so nice to keep them outside blooming...
