Yes, it is sad. The doves here are thriving. But I saw a mocking bird in our yard with a twig in its mouth. Maybe there will nest close by... I like them.

I don't have a great feeling about that other baby dove and how attached we true conservationists become to our own wild creatures. I was talking with great enthusiasm with someone about my crows recently. Their eyes got that glazed over look.
