Ok, Never Been on a Jury. BUT BEEN SENTENCED BY A FEW in Days Long Ago!

I was on a case once for jury duty and caused a mistrial. Not intentionally. The judge had asked me a two part question after the verdict, as part of the polling of the jurors, and I answered it in the negative, for the first part was yes, but the second part was no. I don't recall if I got a chance to explain. To make it worse, the entire "trial" was a sham (imho) since the man had already been to court and trial once before on the same issue, causing this trail to have a "pre-directed verdict." Never had heard of that. This second part was to determine guilt for valuing alleged damages. The man was very wealthy and had, if I recall, stated he would either donate monies received if he won, or forfeit them! Bizarre. It was a matter spite, perhaps, again, imho. The entire episode was awful for me.

never been on Jury duty. actually I was to be but I had my ticket for Canada so they crossed me off the list.

As I recall, you like to put the petal to the metal when you drive. Did you behave yourself?
I have had jury duty twice. One time, I did go through voit dire. It just so happened that it was a case where a gas station had been robbed. Location D had been robbed, so I did bring that up. They never put me up for being a juror, so I don't know if the defense would have struck me. The second time I never was brought in for a case. They all settled.

I always dreaded doing that Taps, but they must have forgotten me, I have not heard of many doing it though, perhaps the guilty confessed .

I was called only once. I don't remember anything about it other than that the defense didn't like me and rejected me, LOL...
