BC-A

First of all, I really like Gene Krupa, and your uncle made an interesting point about Basie. I like feel-good stories to balance the rest of the news, like good samaritan-type stories. Or stories where the dog who has been missing for years shows up and his owner is reunited with him.

Personally, I have always known that news as portrayed is possibly not always the entire story. We were taught as tykes to consider many things when assessing new information, and that included news as we got older. I don't see our freedoms enjoyed here as being solely responsible for some people thinking of US citizens as Ugly Americans, and actually, quite the reverse at times is often the norm. Our freedoms should be used and not abused. Entertainment and hard news seem to be separate issues, and whomever controls either, or both, know that. But money talks, does it not?  BTW, I love your idea about a movie with that show a (particular) person with their happy songs. One could follow a person through life pictorially with their song choices, if it didn't run like a life remembrance celebration.

Only read the papers Bill and bits on the computer. So I can't give a valid answer. Good blog though.

The discussion is easy for me dear Bill. There isn't any face media reporting for Trump. He opens his mouth in front of heaps of people and carefully puts his foor into it. I like good news stories about animals.
