Not to argue one way or the other about the obscenity of allowing

a Muslim worship service in a Christian church - I'll just say this fight among people over whose invisible friend is real/right/all-powerful/etc. never goes anywhere. I've got my own little trench, I'm all dug in and barricaded, and there's nothing to be said that will change my mind. I kinda think 99% of all grownup people are also entrenched, philosophically.

I agree with that sad conclusion.  An extreme of tolerance is leading to the demise of Christianity.  What is so ironic is this:  an extreme of tolerance has also led to the rise of the liberal progressive movement,  which is largely atheist.  They preach tolerance,  and yet they are rioting in the streets.  They do not practice what they preach,  and this is one element of their success.  Hypocrisy is working well for them now,  but I hope that there will be hell to pay later for them.......

Christians are taught to be tolerant and it will probably be their undoing! sam

Painful subjects make my head not work very well anymore, and definitely not in a timely manner.  But i keep reading.

Obscene is definitely a great word to use to describe it. You do a great job explaing why God sounds the way he does in the Koran.

Thanks for incorporating my comment into a post,  I appreciate it.  I think you and I are in complete agreement about the conflict between Christianity and Islam,  and the obscenity of Christians just laying down and letting the Muslims walk all over them  (figuratively speaking).

I don't think this is what Jesus meant by 'loving our enemies'.  It is not love,  to allow people with false and aggressive doctrines to abuse you and take over.  You can love them and fight them AT THE SAME TIME.  You can even love them as you are killing them,  if they force you to that tragic extreme.

I am always impressed by your mastery of the details of religious doctrines.  You know more about them than the average believer.  But,  of course,  you are actually a believer yourself.......  a believer in not believing....... LOL   Cheers!!

I could go on for a long time on this but I will not. There is one God. The child they believe as having been the son of Abraham, yes he is physically, but not according to God as in family. He is to be the father of the 12 tribes those or the 12 Princes of Arabia. These and the second grandson of Abraham as well as all those of Canaanite blood are not of God, period. Yes there is a Satan and they belong to them under total diabolical submission.

sorry Naut. No more world or local negativity for me at this stage. My birthday is getting closer and I refuse to spend my sunset years being miserable.
