That is a very cute exchange between the two...Politics has been crazy over the past couple of decades or so.

The unknown is always rather difficult to assimulate. In politics it is usually not half as bad as feared but not half as good as one would like.

Crazy to crazier indeed!
Good post.. Obama deeply disappointed me in several areas, especially on the subjects of endless wars and murdering innocent people with his kill lists and drones, but I shudder to think what the pres. elect will do.

Love the dialog between daughter and dad & the side roads it took.
I hope you enjoyed the farewell address.

Yes, he'll be missed sorely by those of some intellect & a wider worldview
but while the incoming administration is appalling in so many ways, for its lack of both those things, there is more and more evidence that rather than the destruction of the American Experiment, these troublesome times will lead to a resurgence and revitalization of America's best energies and ideals. Sometimes it takes a hearty kick in the pants to get folks out of a state of sleepy inertia.

Re: Kabu
Thank you. I especially have loved the way he has interacted with children. One day he will be beloved by little grandchildren.

I know that I am going to miss him and would give much to go to a lecture or anything where he was speaking in the future. The World will remain richer because he is in it and though some may disagree with his politics they cannot disagree surely that he is a man among millions as is michelle a woman among millions. I feel priveledged to have been able to watch them from Canada for the last 8 no 9 years, if one includes the lead up to his Presidency.
