Here in Kansas City north of the river on highway 9 to Parkville, evergreen trees along the way have always been decorated festively to herald the season.  But, this year, the day after they were made Christmassy, a big truck went the whole way down the five miles of highway and took down all of the decorations from the trees and posted signs along the way that this was not allowed.  There are a lot of people unhappy about this.

I would say good concern. With the threat of terrorism, or unruly crowds in general, who knows what can happen with a bunch of people with umbrellas. Of course, if there is no rain, it is no issue. At some point, there will be a rainy New Year's.

I think it can be construed a weapon of a sort and why invite trouble! Probable best it's banned! sam
