I think thiis "Elector" hope is grasping at straws

I am with FSI and his excellent anaylsis of the Electoral College issue.  A few Electors might defect,  on either side,  but not enough to change the election results.

Ciel,  democracy is a dangerous ideal to uphold.  It has been said that  "Democracy is two wolves and a sheep deciding what to eat for supper. "  I think the Democrats of the past 40 or 50 years have increasingly been wolves in sheep's clothing,  stooping to elitism,  bias,  deception,  lies,  and trying to attack their opponents at every turn.  The unsaid motto of liberal radicalism is  "The ethical end justifies all unethical means."  Hellary personified this attitude,  Trump pointed it out by calling her Crooked Hillary,  and the moniker rang true to many voters,  perhaps making the difference.

Pure democracy in ancient Athens allowed the Athenians to condemn and execute a great philosopher,  Socrates.  Democracy is only as good,  or as evil,  as the people themselves.

I have my doubts about the Faithless Elector Route working. The parties are very good about selecting those who will vote the party line. Even though there have been faithless electors, I feel most of them would not have voted that way if their vote would have cost their party the election.

There would have to be a lot of defections at this point to deny Trump the presidency.

If this is the election of the Faithless Elector, I imagine there would be a fair amount on the Democratic side as well, denying her the nomination.

If neither were to get to 270, we would end up in the House, where I believe Trump would get the nomination. The Republicans in each state would not want to deny the person who the party embraced.

Re: Kabu,

That was "Little Bush" aka Dubya. And that time the Supreme Court decided the issue.

This all happened I believe when G. Bush was given the Presidency. I rather like George Bush but he made a terrible President. At least his wife's full frontal naked pictures aren't popping up everywhere. Oh dear.
