Lol wiley...you just had to go and say it....I agree that we need to think what the consequences are when we blog about controversial issues. Islam is one of those touchy subjects. I wonder how certain bloggers would feel if the shoe was on the other foot...just saying

Yes it is all so sad Kat. Honestly I don't think anyone would really want to hurt you. on here.
I do understand your concern, sadly there are cruel folk in all parts of society. '
Religion is such an emotive subject. Perhaps in time we will all be more civilized .

Very diplomatic and thoughtful commentary, FSI. I don't feel it is a writer's character - good or bad -that causes a trigger for those who are deranged. It is an endless flow of narrowly scoped dire warnings - that often do have the appearance of unnecessary and unhelpful bias and negativity, if not shades of resenting/hating the "other" to reader's who are attempting to see the whole picture, but even with that said, I don't think that in itself is a basis for judging the writer's morals or humanity - or fear mongering, that can play and provably has played havoc on unstable minds. I do not think the bloggers you mentioned are bad people, quite the opposite and 2 of them I have enjoyed interacting with on other non political topics. I've tried more than once with the third, but that didn't go anywhere.

That is a great question that you have posed and something many bloggers or even those who use social media do not think about, myself included.
When it comes to the answer to your question, I look at the author's intent. Naut, Justi and Goldenmean do not advocate violence against Muslims. They are good people. And those who hold opposite viewpoints like yourself and Annicita are good people as well.
Now there are people who may read their writings and do something dastardly from being inspired, but I do not blame the authors for that. Bad people are always going to find inspiration from good people. I do not believe that good people should censor themselves because bad people are going to take things too far.

I don't anymore either; just occasionally a comment will catch my eye. Well said, Dear Kabu. I truly grieve for the innocents caught in the crossfires of never-ending hate and feel so helpless. I have been insulted but never physically injured. Writing and trying to encourage people to look at the whole picture of imperialistic agendas, war and fear mongering greed, racism, the benefits of dividing the masses for the purpose of control are the only tools I have to use toward contributing to enlightenment and eventual real change, knock on wood. Thank you my friend for understanding..

I think perhaps you shouldn't go to those blogs. I have actually stopped because I get upset. Every time I meet lovely people who are of that Faith I feel bad actually. I believe that we have to spread love not hate and distrust. I mean either we ourselves or our ancestors came to a new world where these days we embrace mulitcuturalism and the World is a global villiage with trade and stuff. There is nowhere anymore, to go off into a whites only place to rule the roost...Thank God. I know how you yourself have been treated at times and I could cry.
