Re: WileyJohn

You and Lanetay, and many others, Wiley! I recall reading of a study done on the full moon. It was interesting as far as it went, in that half of the subjects reported feeling negative effects from a full moon, as do you, and the other half reported just the opposite! I have no idea why that would be. For me personally, it can go either way, I think. Thank you and I'm glad my poetry calms, for that makes me happy. :)

Re: shamasehar

So glad, shamasehar, that it does that, for that was the feel of it! Thank you.

Re: UKUSA

Hi there, UKUSA! How kind of you to stop by to say hi. Yes, we tend to expect to see our neighbors here in Blogitville, and though we know they have real lives, we do show concern when they go missing. I hope all is well with Kabu and WileyJohn. Shalom, friend.

This is so exemplary like only the savants can conjure. The poem itself is written with such vivid clarity and I love the use of old english too - truly the galaxy shines.

Re: Re: Hello Aba

I have seen many different gypsy tribes. All of them are invariably master folk-artists -  dancers,  singers, snake charmers, and their classical base is very strong. We have the Jaisalmer desert festival in mid Feb and foreigners from all over the world come to the wintry sandy desert. The men are tall, wiry and hardy-handsome and so are the beautiful women tall and flexible. Watching them perform one is transported into a kind of romantic, surreal world.

Re: Hello Aba

Thank you. Then you have seen the original Gypsy folk, maybe? I understand they were/are of the lower caste, but interesting, with some beautiful women. If your family is still there, perhaps it is your spirit that is nomadic. I know they don't have caste systems anymore officially though. :)

Hello Presta

The old-world charm and the mystery, its calculation of the spherical movement, pNature coming to its wakefulness, are all so very elevating, just like your very od poem is. Kudos!  I belong to Indian Rajasthan desert, nomadic you can call me.

Re: UKUSA

Yes, you are correct. The Roma, or Romani, have from there spread throughout Europe and the US. Thank you and shalom, UKUSA.

I know that Gypsies were first named so for being mistaken as Egypti(an)es

But their origins are in India's Rajasthan desert areas. They dominate in Romania, and were early settlers in USA, known as Travelers and other cryptic names. But the poem is so rich with "Old world knowledge" and your wisdom. THX &shalom Poetess
