Yes, many things remain mysteries, or coincidences... LOL! Do present your understanding of Deja Vu when you feel you wish to do so. It will be great reading, I am sure. And yes, I have read that about Lincoln. Why then, I wonder, did he attend?

Re: Re: Re: anibanerjee
Wow! Wasn't that interesting? If you come to think of it how can something be exactly imagined today if it did does not exist let's say in the future? Like in your case you drew the sketch and only later discovered the distinctive lines staring at you. Abraham Lincoln saw himself assassinated three days prior to the happening, the same men, in the same order and even the one who fired the bullet. He discussed this over with his wife which is in record. Mysteries abound. I could one day give my understanding of Deja Vu, many may not believe. Thanks so mucho, Presta

Re: Re: anibanerjee
The narrative of the link expounds scientifically on Kabu's DNA comment. Also, I once felt like making a quick a sketch of a castle using just a few strokes and lines, with a pen. A few weeks later I was reading a book, not a novel, from the library about Highland Scots. A castle with distinctive lines that was staring at me from the book pages was startlingly like the one I drew! It was Inverary Castle. A connection?Possibly in reality, yes.

I tip mine towards taking off your hat. Thanks a ton dear friend. Tx again for sending the link. It's so relevant. I'll listen to it again more carefully. Kabu's Deja Vu experience is interesting and I've seen a practical example of an aunt of mine who told about a new place she visited as if she had lived there all her life.

Re: kabu
Firstly, I hope Wiley is fine and feeling better now. I'm glad you liked Ibsen. There is something called Deja Vu which makes you feel as you you were there before and remember the places quite distinctly, when you have never visited before. These are I believe memories one carries on to one's next birth. Take care.

There is a whole lot of symbolism behind ghosts.

Hat's off to you for reading 'Ghosts' and for writing this most excellent piece for us. It raises so many thoughts and questions, and at the time must have been quite controversial. I like how you mentioned the perspective of the times, as that was quite important also. Because of the topic in general and the wonderful way you wrote on Ibsen, and Kabu's post, I am including a link that may be of interest. Very well done, indeed, friend.

Ibsen brilliant but never easy ...I always prefer to see a play if I can before reading it. Ghosts certainly explores difficult social issues.
I have a theory that we live on in the DNA of our ancestors. At 17 I knew little of my Fathers people except that they were English since the Huguenots flight across from Belgium in the 16th century.
So I was walking around Canterbury and I said I know this place I have been here before! Queen Elizabeth the first had given these poor persecuted folk the right to live in Kent and had set aside a Chapel in the Cathedral for them to worship.
