Re: Lanetay

For you, I especially hope for cooler weather! It can be a blast furnace there!

Re: TAPS

Thank you. So glad you enjoyed it. And I hope it cools down where you are also. We are supposed to get a hot spell - someday...

Re: Kabu

Ooh, sorry! Hope it cools down for you. Thunderstorms can be scary. Oh, and thank you for the compliment, S. Sister.

But, it's a nice night after heat.

only if that was true here

Beautiful.  I love it, even though it is difficult for me to imagin right now.  It has been so hot and muggy here, even at night.  Though they do predict that a little cooler weather is coming for a bit.

Re: Nautikos

Okay. I wonder if rhyming would also make Japenese poetry read with a sing-song sound? Kinda like this sentence... LOL!

Hm' I am afraid we are being treated like this in the middle of summer. I'll just think winter and see what happens. Good example.

Re: Re: Nautikos

There's no need to change anything, LOL...It's simply a debate! Japanese haiku rarely if ever rhyme, but it has been suggested that's because many Japanese words end on an 'a' or an 'n', and rhyming would introduce a boring monotony...

Re: FSI

It could be.

Re: Nautikos

I don't know if it is allowed or not. Do any Japanese poems rhyme? Don't know. I would think it is not in the generally accepted format or rules. (I shall no doubt be banned from eating Tempura shrimp for a week as punishment!) LOL. However, my mind works that way on these. Perhaps counting syllables activates a rhyming pattern in my brain. I could rework it with no rhyme...

What a lovely feeling.

RP

Very interesting! Among other things, it brings to mind the whole debate: Is rhyme allowed or not?

Hi Presta the great

Yes indeed, the opposites bite and leave the sightless without sight.
