Yikes. I gripe about the squirrels and the raccoons, but a bear would
be exponentially worse... I guess you won't be storing any foodscraps in the screen porch...

I laughed out loud at Naut's comment. What a visual! You will write your story later, I hope. Bears come down from the mountains here in SoCal to some towns nestled there. Officials tranquilizer them, tag them, and haul them back into the wild. The same bears then return. They especially like taking a dip in a family pool.

OK....I'm getting ready to leave the office for the day so decided to sneak a peek - OMG! I missed that comment by Naut - it is hysterical and now I'll have that image in my mind, too. Of course, the way some of the young girls dress around here, I don't know if blinking would be that much more eye-catching to the guys! We have bears at the camp in New Mexico, too....you should see the way they bolt and lock the garbage tins there. My friend, who lives nearby, has a wonderful photo she put on FB a couple of years ago where they showed a baby bear trapped inside of one of the dumpsters and mama trying to get up over the ledge....they put a ladder on back of a truck and backed up to the dumpster, stuck the ladder down inside and drove off...sure enough, the baby bear climbed up the ladder and out!
