Think you have problems I now have 4 jackdaws and three Magpies not to mention starlybobs I have to put the little birds feed inside netting. One thing the jackdaws will take a dead mouse, so it saves burying the little critters.

your garden sounds very interesting, I see a rabbit once in awhile and there are some really pretty blue birds and of course a road runner now and then but no squirrels getting nuts from me.

It is so good to read of you back in your garden and with your birds and animals.  We are having a dark and rain-drenched period right now so I'm mostly just staying in and looking out.  It is finally supposed to be over on Saturday and Sunday.

You write so beautifully about your nature preserve, it makes me

homesick for Camelot.. I did see a brown bunny in the yard yesterday, and the robin family nesting under my eaves has fledgeling chicks now - found a blue shell a couple weeks ago...

Kabu

This post makes me so homesick for my patio and the birds and critters I have.  I had a week off recently and spent as much time as I could outside.  The birdfeeders had not been filled and so, at first, I was by myself out there....but once I filled them, the news spread through the feathered kingdom and I was soon enjoying their antics again.  I don't know all the varieties but I do know I have cardinals, doves and several kinds of finches.  My mom enjoys the two Green Singer Finches I set up in her room and spends hours every day just watching their antics.

Beautiful birdies - well one of 'em anyway, and that chipmunk is pretty big...

I have been seeing a fair amount of Oriole birds at my house. It is funny how things work out. I went years without seeing one. Now I see them regularly.

Kabuiepie-;)~

Those animals are all your family and I like spreading the feed on the ground for them rather than those metal feeders we had. I love you and the fence is all down and gone until the weekend.
