I suppose you could put one or two small boxes easier to defend against predators. Of course birds try to build in the shade it probably gets quite hot in an enclosed space with growing fledglings. Some tough robins you have there.

Lots of that spring thingy going on up here too. That box of yours sounds ideal. You could enjoy the critters without them working their way inside. Good thinking No 9.
