Re:

LOL....I didn't have the snake until I had Grandchildren. Very small and growing grandchildren. The Granny from Helll.LOL But she was more gentle than a kitten.

I showed your double-decker bus to Son #2 and read him your post and he loved it all and thought of it as a great adventure until I told him that at one point you had a pet of a great big snake.  He couldn't believe it and said, "I don't be playing that reptile game!"

I bet that it was pretty hot in summer  I suppose it should have been somewhere in the shade and Winter well what I have seen in double deckers aswim with condensation. Now if you had covered it with Marino blankets. Youthful aspirations I suppose.

What a story.  Love reading about it.  Love the picture.  Do your sons remember living in the bus?

Ah, Spirit Sister, your post took me back. No, not to a bus! LOL. But none-the-less, the flavor of those times. Know it well. Beautiful, beautiful post. And yes, everything is relative.

When I was a kid I wanted to put my earthly belongings in a

wheelbarrow and hobo around the country - finding jobs waiting tables and getting to know lots of different little towns and waysides. However, even as I thought about doing it, I realized it was a dangerous idea for a young girl. Later on I wanted to do the same thing in a bus/motor home, but there were jobs and kids and etc., etc.  So in spite of the fact that it sounds so much better than it would actually be to live in such a confined little mobile space, the idea of wandering still rears its ugly head ever now and then. I really appreciate your post today - I've decided to do the sensible thing.

Kabu

Great memories, even if they didn't always feel great when you lived them, I guess! And I like the looks of that bus - living in it would be another matter...

It is very interesting reading about your history...The experiences of others have put things into perspective as well for me.
