Re: Nautikos

Yes, I broke a cardinal rule of the family. Blame it on moving... I doubt even your imagination could dredge up what this stuff was like to try to eat! I like it al dente, and the carbs digest at a bit of a slower rate for those who care (LOL), but as I had said to Kabu, we didn't have it that way as a child because my father liked it just a hair over the al dente stage! Picky, it's all in la famiglia. Larger taste buds, they say, seriously! Or more of them...

I'm sure he is (doing the best he can).  I can't picture him not.
Life's not easy for an octogenarian.  I think that's what he said he was.  I've only got a year and a half to that, and I'm already dragging my tail.

So far, our snows this year have thankfully been light.

It's pleasant to bake something on a snowy day.

I've been holed up inside, added another half-dozen hats to the bin of crocheted stuff, and today will have to go to the store, no matter what.

Please no more snow it is making me shiver, just as the heating has packed up we had a terrific frost. I suppose I should go and dig a patch of ground over but I have to wait for the engineer to assess the heating. That's the good news.

Kabu

Rather than being out for a while, in this cold maybe you should be inside for a while, LOL...But your supper sounds delish...

And to RP: You shocked me! I love Italian food, but to take out? Impossible, at least as long as there's pasta involved! It needs to be al dente, and that just can't be done! And I can well imagine what that lasagna looked like...:)

Your dinner sounds much better than the take-away (nearly throw-away) lasagna and salad I ate! Slippery lasagn' with the soggy  noodles lost at the bottom of an aluminum container (and we all know that aluminum and tomato acid add up to a yuck; pieces of a gray-looking somethings floating around, which must have been a protein such as sausage; globs of white that posed as cheese; huge hunks of some unidentifiable herb which should have been at least torn into smaller bits, and on and on. I know better than to order Italian out, from a restaurant, as I'd rather cook it myself. But I still do it anyway, occasionally.

I'm glad that you were able to get out and about.  It's snowing again here, too.  Love you both forever.  Give that sweet man a big kiss from me.  And one for you, too.
