Re: adnohr

My shoes come off as soon as I get in the door, even before my coat, hat, and gloves come off.  If my feet get cold in just my socks, I put a second pair of socks over the first ones.

TAPS

MY right foot is a mess from having broken my right leg with a spiral compound fracture as a boy and gangerene infection, so the foot and toes have been pulled every which-way by the surgery.

I absolutely love this post. As time adds up we take more of it to do those things we thought would eat some of our precious fun time.

I don't remember this bur was told I used to wear my shoes backwards and on

the wrong feet. My Mom and Aunt came back from shopping to find my Dad, who was babysitting, sitting at the kitchen table with an upside down book and his shoes backwards and on the wrong feet. They thought he had flipped until they learned the book had been put in the cover wrong and he just wanted to see how uncomfortable I really was wearing my shoes like that.

I remember my mother doing "This Little Piggy" with me when I was little. Those were the days.

The middle Rugrat is the same, TAPS. It was always a chore to put him in any type of footwear, and the first thing he does when he gets home from school is take off his shoes and socks. He hates wearing clothes too, preferring to run around with as little clothes as allowed. Do you do that too?

Well you are lucky to have nice feet Taps.' The chiropodist always says you have nice feet.' I can't help thinking that she must see some pretty rough ones if I set the standard.

Re: Kabu

We weren't allowed to go barefoot in the house either! I wear sandals now, even when others are wearing shoes. Course I do wear boots in the rain and tennies for exercising!

This was such an enjoyable read! I could go on and on, thank you!

My feet too get a reasonably good workout every day! Walkies with the doggie, on the bike (in the basement these days!), and sometimes, when I'm reading, they end up on my desk...Oh, and in the house I'm always barefoot (Socks? Yuck!), and even outside I still prefer deck shoes or moccasins, until the snow gets too high...

We don't need the old soft shoe. We need the refreshed soft feet love.

I was never allowed to walk barefoot. Not even in the house at home. When I grew up I started walking along the beach bare foot and in my own house bare foot and even outside sometimes.  I discovered a gentle pleasant freedom.

Lovley post. Lucky you, you learned how to tie your own shoes. A classmate had to teach me.

Wow! This was so much fun to read... and so familiar, about

the feet and being free to roam barefoot as a kid.
