Re: Justi

We are on the west side of MO and it isn't so bad here in Kansas City.  St. Louis area and the middle of MO in the Ozarks is just terrible.

How are you out there now? We have had flooding too but nothing like down the Mississippi. Let us know how you are.

TAPS

My mom is like the gentleman Kabu overheard, and I've heard several other lifelong Republicans say the same.  I haven't said who I would vote for, only who I wouldn't - Hillary or Bernie.  Beyond that, I really have no idea as it is much too early....I won't be at all surprised to see a Third Party candidate jump in (I don't think it's too late?)...and I won't be at all surprised indictments yet knock Hillary out - they certainly should!  I think 2016 is going to be the most incredible political year ever seen in any of our lifetimes for sure....so, yes, Taps, my dear.....you are not going to be able to stay out of it.  And, honestly, as one who has lived through a lot of history and seen a lot, you really do have a lot of wisdom to offer in a very important time of  history for that beautiful family of yours.  What value are the elders if not for a source of experience and perspective?

difficult for the rest of the World too.

I was waiting for my plane in Ottawa Airport in November when an American Gentleman stood up and stated rather loudly to someone he had been speaking with.

" I am a Republican. I have voted Republican all my life But I hate that Trump fellow."

Re: It is always a matter of choice.

Or of viable choices. Right now, it seems to be a choice between voting for the current trend towards oligarchy, or social democracy. We either continue to enlarge the bloated corporate America's interests, or we start taking care of the interests of the American people.

We also need a President who can represent us on the international stage, who will be at the very least, respected and listened to. Advisors can advise, but the President is the face and personality of America, out in the wide world.

It comes down to which America the voter chooses to give power, and for whose benefit.

Re: CCT

Just saying that it's on everyone's mind and will be for quite some time no matter what else is going on around us.

Well, people elected B (etc) O twice (!), so I see no reason why they wouldn't elect Trump at least once, LOL. And if he were to tone down his act (I really wish he'd stop making these faces) and get rid of his penchant for insulting people needlessly he might even be a good Prez!

Certainly better than the current incumbent, or horrible Hillary! Edward Klein just published his book, Unlikeable: The Problem with Hillary, which apparently reveals a lot she would have preferred to keep hidden. I'm ordering it today from Amazon...

It's all I can do to resist making a comment about The Donald,

but why bother? Folks have their ideas and opinions, and no matter how reasonable and well-founded mine may be, it will not sway others one iota.  Have a great day, Taps.
