Such a neat story. Children in that day always trusted a policeman. Nice photo of your father.

Re: Katray2
I know about that, not only from the news, but from nursing in a Missouri Mental Health Center for a time.

Re: C_C_T
It is one and the same as he who was in the story of "My Oklahoma Family." He only remained a Kansas City Policeman for two years. The reason he did not remain would be a good post in itself.

I like the way you tell this - first the running to find a policeman then learning it was your daddy...and then..and then. Great post! Handsome daddy!

Handsome man your Dad, one that you could feel that you would be able to depend on. Love the car too. It is a precious picture.
As for kids today, kids like that, drugs I suppose. wanting her money, a situation got out of hand. Once started how do you end it? Three lives over. One dead, two off to jail.

Amazing photo of your Dad, Dear TAPS...
Why killing, pain and/or torture is thrilling is something I will never, ever be able to comprehend; has to be a very severe mental illness...

I did not know that Hurzel became a policeman if this is the same Hurzel that you wrote about. No drunks are not very exciting .
