It's a very risky job but they died honourably at the service of the population

So sad it is when tragedy occurs. I live never a cemetary where fallen heros are buried, so we are often reminded about the loss and accompanying pain.

Yup. I take it very personally when one of these guys loses his life.

It's tough to think about, but thank heaven they're standing between us and the danger.

Re: Annicita

They rescued the two people trapped on the second floor with ladders and when they were safe, then the walls of the building blew outward from the heat of the fire and four of the firemen were caught by the hot bricks.  Two of them survived.

How sad....did any civilians die or they are alive thanks to these firefighters?

Sometimes I don't think these brave (heart of gold) men get the credit they deserve!

we hear the sirens go on by and never think about the jobs these people do, the risks involved and the gruesome finds and dealing with lives they couldn't save. When tragedy hits like this it is double bad somehow. I pray for their families, friends and colleagues.
