Reminds me that my deck needs redoing, but it has to be done at the apartment complex owners' discretion. I think they are waiting for me to die off so that they can make it look like new and lease it to someone else at twice the rent.

Same problem, cans of paint that made a mess of the deck and now I have to do it over and I FEEL too freakin' old.Maybe I'll call somebody.

I don't really know what decks are Pat I assume they are wooden steps of some kind.
The only decks around here are ones that folk have had built recently as a platform to sit out on or presumably take a drink and a light meal. I understand your anguish you don't want to look like a gypsy caravan.

I know whereof you speak - I 'did' my entire deck three years ago (without any help from my sons, LOL) and sort of liked the result; but the beauty has been fading, as beauty mostly does...The good thing is that it has been fading more or less uniformly, although there are some spots where it clings stubbornly and annoyingly to its full bloom...But I have till next spring to decide whether to do it all again, a decision influenced not so much by a consideration of the physical aspects of the labor involved, but by those having to do with its boredom-inducing ones, LOL...
