I never knew anyone who had lived in Australia.  In modern years, I began to notice Australian movie stars that I liked.  It wasn't until Blogit that I found one on a more personal basis--one who gave me a painted rock.  It's been fun.

It is wonderful to read of those farm memories that of which you have...I know of a few who loved growing up on a farm or spending time on one.

Kabu

The house looks great, and I fully agree - there really is no better place for a child to grow up than a farm. While I am a city boy, I did spent a loy of my holidays on farms, since all the relatives on my Mom's side were farmers...

Nice country home!

And such a sweetly written story about Blanket Sam; he was so loving. My Grandmother and Daddy would tell us stories about their farm days and they made me long for a farm to grow up on...:)

Kabu

wonderful farm house, and memories to match....thanks for sharing! It reminds me much of my grandparents' farm, and I have wonderful memories from then.  My mom had a spoiled pet goat she remembers fondly, with tales much like these.

What happened to Sam ? Kabu in my experience pets do not always receive lifelong special treatment. Please say he died of old age at 99 sheep years of course. Don't make me cry. I once had a magpie and he remains on my conscience. Tough times sheep farming in those early days. Still love my M blankets.

Kabuiepie-;)~

What a nice post and a lovely house. I loved the sheep cuddling the turkey chicks and the love you had for one another.
