Interesing story from lots of aspects of human nature here.....would your dad want employees who gave away free car washes? If Steve got the management position of the store, what would he do with an employee he caught giving away free pizza's? Everyone's attention is on someone who simply spoke the truth and how stupid that was. Interesting snapshot of where we are as a society. I'm not judging, just observing. I would probably have all the same kinds of reactions, I'm sure. I just always find these kinds of things interesting.

Steve was able to keep his job. He ended up leaving there a year later because he was not getting the support he needed higher up in the corporate chain he felt he needed to run the store.

I suppose it's always difficult when someone acts on their own initiative in a big corporation.. the bosses tend not to like it much if it costs them money!

poor steve, did he lose his job because of what she said or was he already gone. smart way for your dad to gently teach her a lesson. and i agree with cct, you should not give away what is not yours.
