Re: Kabu

Thank you Nurse Helen - I already got an appointment to see a new Dr. on Friday, so the one whose nurse scared me is no longer a problem. I'm feeling much better after treating the acid burns with witch hazel pads...

I was born in April 1945 so have spent my life being reminded of my age. Oh it is 70 years since the war in Europe ended. LOL. darling I am so worried about your health. Please get yourself to a dr or a hospital. I love you way too  much and are up here and helpless to do anything for you.

In our house we celebrated the end of both wars because we had brothers that served in each, Europe and Asia.

In this country we still make celebrate the end of WWI on November 11, 1918, and that's our Poppy Day as well ('In Flanders fields...' and so on)... But, for reasons I would have to speculate on at some length, the end of WWII receives far less attention...(Of course when it was over in Europe it was still going on in the Pacific - so it didn't 'end' where it 'began', so there's that... ) And I'm afraid I never watched the Mad Men, at least not those mad men...
