There are more moderates and liberals than people think in Islam it's just that the radicals love the headlines and promoting hatred and those who don't follow this line duck and hope it doesn't affect them or their families and live day to day hoping for change to happen

I like watching the news as well. Unfortunately, I do not get enough time to watch it as much as I like to.

I read our Naut but his Bias is extreme so it is impossible to debate. Anyone who has extreme unshakable beliefs is impossible to debate. It is the same with politics as religion. If someone is set in stone...leave em to enjoy their rigidity.  I do believe that Women of Islam with education are the only ones who can alter their State...they have done it before and can do it again.

And look at fundamentalism amongst some Christian groups...they believe in a patriarchal society and hell and damnation if one disobeys and some crazy running for presidency has odd ideas about rape that make me glad I do not have to meet him. Just read how women suffered during the 19th and early 20th century where they were considered frivolous little dolls without a brain that must be guided by their men. I had better stop or go write my own post. sorry love.

Nice balance of TV shows and news. Certainly there is nothing wrong with being a

proud woman that wants equal rights...but yes, the liberal feminist goes overboard.

Also, I feel sorry for some of the Muslim women. Great post, all of it, even the

 loosie goosies.

You know I love and adore..debate! In fact, I've been involved in debate over Islam in various ways and in the course of years with a number of people way beyond the confines of Blogit, where a 'debate' in the true sense of the word has never taken place, in spite of my best attempts...And in the course of that I have come to the conclusion, (and it may be the wrong one, of course) that the only way to deal with the Islamic disease is to precipitate a true 'Reformation' - as has been suggested by some prominent Muslims, among them the current President of Egypt, al-Sisi...While of course any debate is of some use, I have become tired of people, well-meaning as they may be, of going on about this interpretation and that interpreatation, particularly in view of the fact that these debates have had no effect on the rise of the tsunami...

And in order to precipitate the beginnings of a 'Reformation', we need to begin identifying the problem publicly, as a Muslim problem that causes Muslim terrorism and all the rest of it...And that will not happen as long as B. (ISIS-is-not-Islamic) O. is president...
