I ought to go to a produce market instead of relying on the grocery store all the time for something different. Location Z is located across one, but that is far away for me to go to.

Fennel - I was reading your word and thinking of seeds.
I didn't even realize there was a bulb on that one. I've talked to the guys at Garden Kingdom and I'm getting a planter box built along the back deck in the near future. If it's done in time, my herb garden will include fennel, just so I can learn about it.

Oh I would love to have that photo in my kitchen. Salad sounds good. i love fennel. I used to grow it but not anymore. n such lovelies.

I love that picture! And you reminded me that Mom sometimes made a very nice fennel salad! I certainly don't remember her recipe, but I'm going to did one out and make it again...And you guys are obviously way ahead of us in the spring department...
