I am truly sorry for the unexpected problem for your nephew. We can do all and still when the Lord calls time it is time up. I do hope he recovers well and is not angry about this, sells his book and does not go overboard on anything. There is a reason for the 'too' when we go too much, it is not good. Love you lady enjoy your stepper.

I remember years ago in Australia a wonderful, handsome, seemingly fitnes, health concious MP dropped dead on the tennis court...Stressful job i always felt was his problem. Besides these days they are saying that it is easier of the bones and more healthy to walk each day.

I am sorry about your Nephew and wish him a speedy recovery and perhaps he needs to reduce anger and stress issues.

you have that right when you say stress is the biggest problem we have today. as far as life goes, we are not promised anything and the seemingly healthiest can die before the least healthy, same with age, children die everyday, sickness, accidents, and some people live to be 100. i do not worry of such things for myself, i will die when i die. but i do not want to outlive the younger members of my family or my children, there again it is not up to me.

We just never know...no matter how much preventive measures we take there could be a ticking time bomb within us...silently waiting

I hope that Joel is feeling better. I know of a few people who led a healthy lifestyle but still ended up having a health problem or multiple health problems at a youn age. Life works in very odd ways, I hae learned.

That sounds awful, and yes, unfair. Does anyone remember runner/author Jim Fixx? He is sometimes credited with beginning the 'fitness craze' in our country in the '70's. He too suffered a heart attack while jogging but actually passed away as a result ( at age 52 )! However, in his early years, he was extremely overweight ( until he began running ) and was a heavy smoker, which obviously caught up with him later. Hey, all we can do is our very best to take care of ourselves in every way, and stay on top of it. I hope he is doing better . . .

I'm very sorry to hear about Joel! But I agree with adnohr: being in fantastic shape will help him to recover fully! He may even run again...

I'm very sorry to hear that. I'm right about your nephew's age. I have been a

''hill runner'' for some years now but I know it's time to slow down. Any thing can

happen over the age of 40.

I don't blame him for feeling he got a raw deal. It's not fair...

Imagine, though, how much worse it would have been if he hadn't gotten in shape.

So sorry to hear this. Actually, he will probably recover better than most from the heart attack because of his good physical health. But you are right - we never know what's around the corner; proof time after time that one should remember to enjoy the present.
