Re:

Cheers FS. There were a lot of gypsies roaming around an the doors of most places were shut, but they let Archie and his wife in after looking through the grid,

Re: Kabu

Of course we are gnomes. My photo to prove it will be on Taps site for the historical proof that gnomes exist.

Re: ChiffChiff

I guess so Bro, but I could sleep in an igloo with Eskimo Nell and not wake up.

Re:

Good thinking Pat too much caffeine is a bit harsh on the tummy. I have had too drink too many cups of stewed tea in the past I know I could not hack that now.

Re: Jimmy

Well he did take her out for a meal Jimmy. He's not feeling too good at the moment. Keep drinking the coffee. As you say no birthday is ordinary and they come too quickly/

Re: Vermount

Seriously no Vermount. I did write a small book of verse 50 years ago. Only to prove that I could I suppose. It is always a problem to know what will please,I am waiting for your poems as you said you were going to write one or two. In a way Blogit acts as a muse she is seductive and one usually gets one's own way.

Re: Naut

Arthur loved two or three nights out at the local, but he was advised by his doctor to stick to decaffinated coffee or he would soon be down under. he sometimes has a shot of Scotch in the coffee/ I have decaff tea at times as I don't like decaff coffee.  Sometimes beleive it or not it takes tears to write or has done.

I would say that postman was being rather rude, or perhaps it was just a poor attempt at humor! Yes, a couple of cups of coffee a day is good for the heart. That's all I have . . . a couple of cups. And as far as one's wife is concerned, no birthday is 'ordinary.' If he can't get her a nice gift, he should at least do something nice for her . . .

Re: Taps

We English Gnomes are renowned for our hardiness, most are shut away in sheds throughout the winter as you know. A lady gnome is quite rare but she doe not expect much and does not get a lot. I might send a gnome photo for your gallery.

You are so funny.  I'm laughing out loud at the mind picture of two garden gnomes and thinking of them celebrating just an ordinary birthday of their own.

CCT

Arthur has some strange ideas! De-caffeinated coffee? That's as horrible as alcohol-free wine, beer and scotch! And your poem today is a tour de force, definitely not inspired by de-caffineated coffee...

I liked them both, the story was funny. Now a serious question, ''have you been

 published''?

deliberately made a second visit to thank you for the sensual

imagery in the poem.

The coffee is supposed to be good for the heart and a preventative against liver cancer, but de-caf is just as good because it's the flavonoids and not the caffeine that does the job - I use one scoop of regular and one of decaf when I brew the morning pot.

I hope that Archie's wife has a wonderful birthday...A smooth poem you got there.

No doubt over the caffeine you lower the risk of staying awake Bro. LOL
