I've been much richer than most.  It's been facinating!

Re:

There are mysteries galore in this world. Those of us who are wonerstruck and strive to unravel them, in the end, come out the richer, just as you say  "if my mind can change so much, based on evidence, then what kind of things I will learn before I die".

First, as I see it, the "church" and spiritualism are not necessarily co-existing much anymore.  But to your subject matter, isolation such as a you are speaking, as I have seen it, does not bring one closer to enlightenment.  Though the enlightened can reach a deeper since of spirit with a "retreat" or "sabbatical".

To your description of this blog, has been a passion of mine.  To find the golden threads of similarity in modern religion.  Also to speak with scientific experts who are researching things of the spirit.  One was a woman, who was stricken with MS, so it took me a year to get audience with.  She was with the Government.  When I met her finally, I went to her home where she worked.  She looked like she had pulled her clothes out from under her bed.  So I was a bit leery of her credentials.  When I entered her office, I lost my doubt.  There were screens from wall to wall.

OK, now I'm listening.  Her research was in DNA and what we have not yet learned about it.  Although, it was just her theory, she believes somehow there are parts of the DNA that can explain things like da'javou and even past life experiences.  Why certain animals are keen to pick up on physical changes as well as environmental changes well ahead of time.  I did not want to leave.

Also had a chance to interview Dr. Brian Weiss.  I told him upfront that I was a hard sell.  But by a couple of hours of interviewing him, I keep my mind open.

There is sooo much we don't know.  That is exciting to me.  If my mind can change so much, based on evidence, then what kind of things will I learn before I die.
