I go off ice cream quickly Bro, one in a week is enough for me.

Re: Naut

Now raspberries I love Naut, but preferably off the canes. I am dubious about any soft fruit in punnets, but we won't go down that road. Bananas with cream that has me

perking up, but no cream on board. Fortunately I only like scotch in tea, a sacrilege, no doubt in your view.  Yes you could dig the ground over now your dear wife will love you all summer for breaking the soil up with the frost. Or get your blond to do it.

Re: I believe the appetite follows what vitamin or mineral the body lacks,

Do you know Pat I have never liked marmalade, probably a childhood dislike, not quite so bad as caraway cakes, I think I would starve rather than eat them. I think Janey would like a bit more love and understanding, but the F.I.L. is getting on Archie's nerves, and he has pains all down his throat. I think it is nerves, but he is due to visit the doctor tomorrow.

Re:

No he is always like that Jimmy. He calls me Arthur Daley after a character on the tele.

Trouble is as one ages and takes pills it must affect the system somewhat. I hope I do want ice cream the freezer is full of the darned stuff.

Re: jeansaw

Well we puddle along as it were. I wish they would get liability insurance on the products they sell. I shall have to push them into it, even if I pay half.

I think cooking and eating oddities are quite interesting.  I've developed a few myself that I fall into when no one else is here to cook for.

sounds to me like you, archie and janey have a marvelous relationship.  you can tell by the way you all joke around you must all care for each other a lot.   i loved the poem.  perfect and made me hungry for some fresh peas.

Box Archies ears for him from me ,, Thanks ...  and we cannot eat big meals any more i think it has to do with age...as for a woman not wanting to eat at home...how many meals has she had to make for the family in her life time. Give the nephew a hint to take his Mama out sometimes.

That did sound somewhat ungrateful of Archie. Perhaps he was just in a bad mood. And sometimes your system gets tired of 'the same ol' thing,' and just needs a change. Sometime down the road, you may want that ice cream again! I hope the cakes turn out okay. If not, good for those birds . . .

I believe the appetite follows what vitamin or mineral the body lacks,

and cravings lean toward something the brain decides we need. I wonder what it means that I've found orange marmelade totally satisfying lately, but I hadn't had it in years. It's delish with a smudge of cream cheese on crunchy toast.  Love the pea poetry.

As for Janey, and your valentine card from "Archie" - Hmmmm

Oh, yes, some husbands cannot be pleased...I can just feel the intensity of emotions.

An ode to peas - original and smile-producer, CCT! Maybe we just get bored with eating the same thing all the time?Archie is ungratful, but Janey sounds ok.

CCT

I've gone on and off things a lot - I used to hate raspberries, now I love 'em! And there was a time when I used to eat a lot of banana splits - haven 't had one in years! But for some reason I never get tired of scotch...And I love your gardening poem - maybe one day I'll take it up, gardening I mean...
