Hey, with as cold as this winter has been, looking 'fashionable' should be the least of your concerns! Staying warm is much more important! And I tried to cut down a tree with a herring once! No such luck! Of course, I was still able to understand the air-speed velocity of an unladen swallow . . .

i'll have to show you girls how to layer...but i must say that when it is this cold who cares what one looks like. I look like a barrel on legs when I finally get all the sweaters, coats and scalves, hats, gloves and clodhopper boots on ready to go outside. Stay inside dear one.

Oh I am good at getting the m, p d look you spoke of, but I never got the hang of that layered look of the youngsters either. I bet you look great because you always do.

No. Wearing my purple felt cloche because it is warm, colorful and comes way down over my ears and my forehead, and doesn't blow off, or mess up my hair.

Fashionable or not, warmth is what counts. Growing up in Canadian winters taught us early how important layering is.

The tire manufacturers and meat packers must be gloating! Pat looks like something from Goodyear, I'm looking like the Michelin Man! Even Bennie gets to wear an extra blanket and is beginning to look like a sausage dog! But with a current windchill of -49, we won't be rolling and sniffing around out there for long...
