Congratulations on the kids' accomplishments....I'm sure they inherited their abilities from you!! I sympathize with the apnea....have a CPAP myself and have gone from severe to moderate....haven't been tested lately and need to do that. It's a great service you do in posting this info as some of these comments show.

my husband has sleep apnea, and he drives me nuts because he only wears his mask 1/2 the time. The other half of the time he's flopping around like a fish in a boat and making crazy gagging noises all night while he ignores my pleas that he don the freaking mask already.

I was waking with a start a year or so ago, I can't really remember why . I bought something to strap on my wrist with a battery to give little kick if I started to snore etc.
Then I could not get the replacement pads anywhere, So I bought a pillow which I think helped a bit. I don't think I do it much now as I lie higher up in the bed and the end can be raised by a machine.
