Well I prefer elevators to lifts, but don't tell Anne that either. It is normal for folk to have a little phobia or two. My sister's husband doesn't like to see a scrap of paper on the floor in the house. My sister will sigh if he picks a piece up. As I say to her you are lucky that's the only thing that he can't contend with. Big glare.

I am happy to go up or down on an escalator I just hate, really hate stepping onto a down escalator.
