is the author of the postings in this blog, from his book, "Immorality of Christianity" he wrote begining in 1997 and self-published in 2000.  I assisted him with research, editing and organization of content as well as doing the production of the book.  It is copyrighted under our company name, Stewart and Sommers Co.  Comments I post are mine though sometimes we discuss the subject before I post them.  We're a team

Most men have come a long way in realizing the injustices placed on women over the centuries and we couldn't have gotten far in equality if it wasn't for the support and hearts of those men who could see past the dogma imposed on them, as well as women, to bring our society out of the dark ages and into an era of mutual respect, honor, dignity and equality.  We've only begun, though, for as long as the ideas of woman's worth are perpetuated in the ideological belief of Christianity, Islam or any other fundamental faith, we will remain less than equal and subservant to the ideals of men.

Thankyou for your quick response and supporting comments--

Love this post and
your comments archiew. The Bible has been used for centuries for the purposes of discrimination and persecution. It is still used for this purpose today. There is a group out there who calls it Bible abuse. Why have we progressed in every aspect of who we are and not in our understanding of God? Why is progress acceptable in all other areas, yet we are limited to ~2000 year old understanding of God? God may be the same throughout the existence of this reality, we are the ones who are changing in our ability to understand Him/Her/The Truth.

Excellent post!

So many examples with scripture to back them up.  You did exceedingly well, and to think you are a woman?

This proves a point I try making, and get nowhere.  Most religions were born when times were different; we changed, we've grown, and scripture (or God) did not keep up.
