All i can say about 14,000 teeth and one foot is the evidence of God's great sense of humor!

Only in aquarium confines.  I have a shot somewhere of a shark swimming overhead in the aquarium in Singapore where there is a glass walkway under the water. It is very cool!  It is located on Sentosa Island.

Re: FSI

I think it must be nano-stuff and you must have to have a super-powered microscope to count them (which I will never do--I will take someone elses word for how many).

Re: Pat_B

Son #1 seemed to be his Grandpa's favorite grandson.  They spent a lot of time together and that is the way that he treated him.  He loved to show him new things, but he made him use the dictionary or encyclopedia or The Books of Knowledge to learn about them.  Son has always followed in his footsteps in that way, even with me.

If I don't do something, I'll soon be thinking "shoulda, woulda, coulda".

Re: I was thinking, shark, with all those rows of replacement teeth.

You got me wondering--stuff in nature is definitely interesting.  I found out that a bull shark can have 50 rows of teeth in 7 series and shed as many as 35,000 teeth in its lifetime.  That's a lot of teeth too.  Have you ever photographed a live shark?

I suppose you could have a bridge Taps. Very expensive but the alternative is have a

tooth fixed to the bone if it is strong enough. Or just have it out and forget it if it does not show too much. One thing the most pain one feels these days is in the purse. I had a root taken out and it was really painless, depends on the dentist I suppose.

It's true about the teeth. Someone on FB wrote that your mouth can

kill you if you don't take care of it. I admit I didn't take the best care, and this casual attitude has come back to bite me... My dentist had some kind of antibiotic powder he sprinkled on one of my loose teeth, and it got more solidly in place. Which reminds me I can't remember the last time I saw him.  Time to get an appt.

I like the intellectual conversations you have with your son, and that he'd make you look up the snail detail...

Tooth problems scare the hell out of me - I sure hope you'll get that fixed one way or the other! I'm glad I don't have 14000 to deal with...And having only one foot is also pretty awkward! You could never play hopscotch - it would just always be hop, hop, hop...

My father has peritonitis, which he is fortunately able to manage with four dental visits in a year. I wish you well in handling the gum disease.

I never would have guessed a snail. I would have thought of a super huge animal. Those must be some little teeth there.
