Re:

Sure, FSI. Why not? People are so quick to pick up a gun and try to kill those poor zombies, when all they're probably looking for is something decent to eat! I guess one of them had to settle for someone's brains, and now everyone assumes that's what they'll only eat! It's worth a shot . . .

That is a great idea to get on the good side of a zombie.

Re:

I understand, TAPS, as long as they followed the book as closely as possible. And you absolutely can't go wrong with any movie containing two mega-stars like Bogie and Hepburn! I'm actually not familiar with that one, but I'd love to check it out some day . . .

Re:

I certainly hope not, adnohr! But is it really worth 'ruining' your clothes just to learn another language? There must be an easier, and cleaner, way . . .

Re: JimmyA

You may be right, Sir Wiley, but I have a feeling that a lot of people probably won't look at it that way! Perhaps it might be a bit too much to consider people referring to wine or beer as 'sunshine.' But for some people, it really won't matter what you call it . . .

Re:

Thanks, Kabu. Sometimes I honestly don't know where these things come from. Perhaps it's something I saw, something I heard, something I read. But when they come, I must jot them down and share them! And apparently, the weirder the better . . .

Re:

Like I told C C T, Justi, our cats do like 'people' food on occasion, but there might be something in those pies that would probably turn them off! Perhaps they're too sweet! I don't think they care either way. As long as they get something to eat, they're just fine . . .

Re:

Well, C C T, we have several cats who do occasionally like 'people' food, but somehow, I don't think pie ( any pie ) would strike their fancy. We have plenty of zombies around here too, but they don't flail their arms or call for taxis. Instead, they wander the landscape aimlessly staring down at their smart phones! And no bullets for me, thank you very much ( I hate guns! ). I read the dictionary too, and I think I did a little better. I actually understood every other word . . .

They do indeed, Bill. And all they have to do is speak . . .

Re: Jimmy

I'm not sure what you'd call it, Naut, but obviously that's a long time! I never read the book myself, nor do I think I ever had any real interest in reading it. It is a classic, but my list of "Classic books still to be read" is pretty vast, and I don't think that one will make the cut . . .

Thanks, Annicita. I thought I heard someone chuckling loudly this morning . . .

I gave up on the "War and Peace" book and just watched the movie instead.  I always liked Audrey Hepburn and Henry Fonda.

Can I borrow your aluminun suit? I need to learn some Japanese before my DIL's parents arrive...do the effects linger, you think?

Oh my goodness. I never thought of little birds not eating pie when I heard this as a child. Just maybe you are right.

Perhaps the kittens would eat a Magpie  and the only Zombies I have seen seem to walk flinging their arms up and down usually a taxi pulls up and takes them away.Always have the bullet in your mouth first if you practice that trick Jimmy. The only large book I tried to read was the dictionary , but I could not understand many of the words.

LOL! And about War and Peace - I am not a particularly slow reader, but it took me a hell of a time to get through - I kept leaving it! I think I started when the First Punic War broke out, and ended when the last troops left Iraq - if that could called a Peace...
