Thanks so much Jimmy, TAPS, and FSI. I didn't realize how much one kitty influenced my life everyday, until now. :( Everything is a little off.

So difficult it is to lose a pet. My heart goes out to you.

I am so, so sorry to hear of this, as I can relate. I'd never had a pet of my own in my entire life, even when I was younger. Both my older sister and one of my older brothers had a dog, and my younger sister had two cats, so there were animals in the house all the time. But none of them were 'mine.' Now, with my wife, we have 'several' cats that we acquired together that I do consider to be mine, and I've gotten extremely close to them over the years. I try not to think of the fact that I know they're not going to live forever, and I already know the sadness and emptiness I will feel when they're gone . . . just as you're experiencing now. Give it some time, and give lots of 'extra lovins' to the other kitties . . .

Sorry to hear that.  Always a difficult decision to make and it always hurts.

Thanks guys. CCT, I understand why it would be hard for you to get another doggie after that. I have three other animals, so I have been giving them all extra attention. I don't think I will be getting any more animals for a while.

It takes time and I just had to give Mr. Graysome a cuddle because i cannot hug you. I am sorry for all of you for your loss.

So sad to lose a pet, they never reproach one or hold a grievance for long.

I once lost my doggie and I could not bear to have another although it is said one should get a replacement as soon as possible. I still use his name in some of my passwords in memory, well jumbled up..
