My sister was bemoaning the fact that the birds had eaten all the berries off a wall shrub. They are usually still there at Xmas. Now, does that tell us that we are going to have a mild winter and there is no need to save the berries. Or maybe having had hot weather they have ripened on the bush not needing the frost to soften them. Proof will be in the pudding.

Always fun and interesting to observe Mother Nature, especially at this time of year. And I can only hope that those geese don't make a pit-stop at any of the airports on their way down south. Apparently this has been an on-going problem, flocks of geese getting sucked into plane engines, actually causing major problems. The airports are now taking certain 'drastic measures' to curtail them, and it could get ugly! If you get the chance, tell them to steer clear of the airports down here. . . !

Kabu

Many of our local Canada Geese no longer bother flying south - they're wintering here where they always seem to find enough food. And in the spring it's a job to get their hardened droppings off the docks...

If these are sparrows - which are known for their flirty lifestyle - it may

have been a love triangle or quadrangle suddenly discovered. Or a couple of exes who
have never become civil after the breakup. Have you noticed a gathering of the flock at a particular time of day - say late afternoon - for an exchange of tweets?  Sparrows had that communication mode down pat long before any of those techie geniuses came along.

It's such a pleasure to read about these precious moments that you share with us.💝The world that exists around us is amazingly pretty and priceless if we stop by and give it a glance in our hurried lives.😊

I love watching birds of different kinds that gather in our yard around an old pecan tree all year long to get different tidbits. I am glad you enjoyed that.

It is hard to believe that it is that time of the year already.
