Perhaps he is letting Lura do the talking for him. That's what happened to one of my nephews years ago. He had an older sister that loved him and met all of his needs. He would point to something and she would get it for him. He reached four without talking and a wise doctor told them not to do anything at all for him unless he said the word/words first. It wasn't long before they couldn't shut him up. Now he is a preacher.
