Re: mneme

Well I take a Yorkshire gold teabag pop it in a cup for just a minute give it a squeeze and then add milk . I am sure half a teabag of good tea would make a decent cup. I might write and tell the firm one day they are wasting natural resources. Also you need good milk not that wretched skimmed which is about like water. Tea is like people one has to make it adapt to one's taste. .

Very evocative, CCT - my mother makes strong tea and dilutes it with far too much milk.. to this day I can't bear stewed tea and now rarely drink tea at all.

Re: Re: Re: CCT....

No you are thinking of something else Kabu I knew if you deciphered  the ancient recipe my secret would soon be all over Aussie land. I'll admit it is a job to get one of the ingredients to work it always comes frozen these days..

Re: Taps

I probably forget what I was thinking about Taps. I wonder who invented all these words.

Re: Jimmy

Yes I also know a sad tale about two little goats but enough is enough. It is a cake as Kabu shows. I did know how to make a super one, but they were so light they kept floating away. Ask your wife I don't think you have made many cakes Jimmy.

Re: Adnohr

I think that kind of cake is called the Widow's revenge. I think we might have got off cheaply the mother would not have been pleased.

Re: Naut

Sadly like some old no, no, I must not say that Naut. Must not destroy illusions.

CCT

The goat story - what a terrible disappointment for little CCT! But then, that's part of growing up and indeed of much of life - the destruction of illusions...

Hmm yes - the lady put one over your softie dad who paid for the goat's keep. We had some on the farm too - cute little buggers until they grow up. I preferred the lambs. Sponge sandwich looks yummy!

As someone who has not lived through any times where items had to be rationed, I find it very interesting to read about those said times.

So the old lady got your daddy's goat, and all you got was a

side trip through the muck and mire.  I do hope you'll tell us about the sponge sandwich, because I've never heard of it either.

Interesting tale of 'kids.' I guess they make everyone smile. And please tell me you were speaking metaphorically about that 'sponge sandwich' . . .

I like it when you digress.
That's when it gets really interesting.
