Neat! It's nonsense, of course, but I tend to fantasize that the faintest 'something' remains with the clothes one wears...I have given clothes away, of course, but there's always this tiny sense of loss...I've got quite a few t-shirts and sweat shirts tucked away in a drawer, each one pretty well beyond wearing, but associated with special memories. I'll just keep them, and of course I lack the skill to turn them into anything 'useful'...

Reading this is one of those times when I wish I had been blessed with a daughter. i think that daughters cherish their mothers and Grandmothers posessions way more than sons or DIL ever do. i am thinking of leaving all my personal things to my Granddaughter to keep or, share, or selll as she chooses.

Re: Yes, CCT - I've read about how the manufacturers will prefer to

do a charity tax write-off, rather than let their "top of the line" rags end up in the discount market. I never was a clothes horse, always tried to look nice enough but never had time to "doll up" much: kids, job, school, all more interesting to me than what anyone thought of how I looked.

Reminds me Pat the old mans worn trousers finally ended up in the poked rug. You sure did not push it into the collection bag that comes like clockwork every week. Did you read in some poor countries they are able to dress in designer clothes, throw outs from the affluent countries.
