Great post. I was picturing everything--good and bad, old and new. It should make a great difference. Too bad everything costs a lot of money.

I take it that it is not a shared fence so you will have to pay for all the work. Bummer but then there is no argument about what it will be. It sounds very nice and red roses will be beautiful if you get them and i don't think that they get eaten by anything except aphis and one can keep those little pests at bay by planting garlic underneath your bushes.

Now you have me thinking about my fences - I got three of 'em in the back, two are mine and one is shared, and they have all seen better days...What complicates matters is that there's a lot of shrubbery, and there are trees that can't be moved, LOL...
